Automatically, when you visit: which pages loaded, the referring website, your browser language, your time zone, your screen width, and (where our hosting provider supplies it) your country. We use this only to count visitors and understand which pages work. We do not set cookies and we do not use any third-party analytics service.
Only if you give it to us: your email address, when you voluntarily submit it. Alongside it we store the name of the pattern you were shown and the entrance point you came from.
What we specifically do not collect: your individual questionnaire answers. Those stay in your browser's memory, are scored there, and are discarded when you close the tab.
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, information about health is a "special category" of personal data and receives extra protection. We treat questionnaire answers as health data even though we never receive them. Where we do hold anything connected to health — the pattern name stored next to your email — we rely on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked.
You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
We do not use your email for advertising, we do not run targeted ads, and we do not pass your data to data brokers.
We use a small number of providers to run the site: our hosting provider, and — once payments are enabled — a payment processor and an email delivery service. Each only receives what it needs to do its job. We do not sell data and we do not share it for marketing.
Our infrastructure may process data outside your country. Where it does, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Visitor counts are aggregated and contain no personal data.
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email support@tcmpattern.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
TCM Pattern is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced on the site.
